Professional Opportunities Plus
Rationale: The ever-increasing demand to make a positive difference in student achievement and the teaching and learning process requires that professional educators share knowledge and expertise in a way that will benefit all involved.
Workshop Delivery: Professional educators working under the auspices of the Clark County Educational Service Center will contract with school districts in Ohio to provide workshop opportunities reflecting the experience and expertise of sanctioned workshop providers.
- CCESC providers would either travel to a school district's site or arrange for program delivery locally.
- Presenters may or may not be under a regular contract with the CCESC. (Educational leaders from beyond Clark County may agree to be presenters in the POP Program.)
- Adjunct presenters to the CCESC would charge their usual rate per day of presention plus expenses plus a CCESC administrative fee.
- The contracting school district would have the option of providing all food and materials for participants or contracting with the CCESC to provide all food and materials.
- Promotion and advertising would include brochures, fliers, statewide email lists.
- Follow-up Book Study Guidelines and Recommendations
- Workshops aligned to State Standards
- Graduate credit available
