Alternate Assessment Training
for Teachers New to the Process

Training Description:
For those that are new to the Alternate Assessment Process or were trained prior to 2013, this session is for you! By the end of this training, you will know all the "nuts and bolts" of the test administration for the Ohio Alternate Assessment. You will know how to organize testing materials and set up the testing environment. You will know what the deadlines are for completing testing and entering data. You will know what steps you must take to ensure the security of the testing materials and the changes in the testing process. You will also understand the process for entering your student's scores into the Data Entry Interface.

Credit: Five (5) contact hours will be provided by the Madison-Champaign
           Educational Service Center

Registration Fee: None


  • Registration must be done through STARS and your ODE SAFE Account (http://education.ohio.gov/).
  • In STARS, type "Alternate Assessment Training - Those New to the Process" in the "Event Name" box and make sure the date extends through January 17th, 2018.
  • The Registration Deadline is Monday, January 8th, 2018
