Northeastern High School Senior Anna Jung is the 2020 recipient of the Clark County Franklin B. Walter Award.
The Franklin B. Walter Scholarship Awards Program was established by the Ohio Superintendent's Educational Service Center Association to promote student achievement and recognize outstanding students. A senior from each county within the state of Ohio receives the award annually.
"It is an honor to be able to recognize outstanding students from Clark County each year through the Franklin B. Walter Award program, and Anna is a shining example of the outstanding graduates of our local schools," said Clark County ESC Superintendent Dan Bennett.
Anna plans to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology to major in Aerospace Engineering. Her high school activities include Golf, Marching Band, Quick Recall, Student Government, National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Puzzle Club, Prom Committee, Yearbook, PowderPuff Football Player, and Musical Stage Crew.
This academic award is named in honor of Franklin B. Walter, who served as State Superintendent of Education for Ohio from March 1977 until August 1991. Anna is the candidate chosen for the Clark County Educational Service Center for the Class of 2020.
