Welcome!

Proud to be Your Educational Partner!

Welcome to the Clark County Educational Service Center. The ESC is a partner for your local schools here in Clark County - we collaborate with districts to offer high-quality services to students through shared services. The shared services model allows districts to defray costs of offering exceptional services to make the most of our local tax dollars.

Our dedicated employees are part of the teams serving students in Clark-Shawnee, Greenon, Northeastern, Northwestern, Southeastern, Springfield, and Tecumseh schools. We provide occupational, speech, and physical therapists, school psychologists, preschool programs, special education programs, professional development, instructional technology training, and more throughout the county.

The Clark County ESC is committed to partnership with our local schools. Our team is ready to help educators meet challenges big and small and to work together to meet the needs of Clark County kids.

Our mission every day is to be the educational partner our districts can turn to, confident that they are providing the best they can for their students when they are working with the Clark County ESC. What is an Educational Service Center?

ESCs Support Schools

An educational service center serves school districts in an area (Clark County, for example).

Educational service centers are local public school districts governed by an elected board of education. ESCs provide services on a large-scale, offering school districts high-quality administrative, educational, fiscal and support services. The ESC often acts as a consortium, helping districts to offer services to students in fiscally-responsible partnerships, maximizing the investment of our local taxpayers.

The outstanding staff at the Clark County ESC touches the lives of many students throughout our county each day through related services, preschool, special education programs and more.

Who We Serve

Our Services

The Clark County ESC provides support services to approximately 26,000 students and their teachers throughout the county.  While the ESC office and training center is located in Springfield, ESC educational specialists and related service professionals are embedded within the county’s seven school districts, career technical center, STEM school, Montessori, and multiple private and parochial schools.

Just an example of the variety of services provided by the Clark ESC include special education program development and supervision, school psychologists and other related service providers, as well as, mental and behavioral health therapists.  Curriculum specialists provide support to district leadership and teachers through professional development opportunities offered year round.

The Clark Education Center houses specialized classrooms for students with varying degrees of autism and for those students who have struggled to succeed in the regular school environment due to behavioral issues.   Additionally, our preschool teachers located in multiple districts meet the early learning needs of all children.
