Welcome!

Welcome to the Clark County Educational Service Center. The ESC is a partner for your local schools here in Clark County - we collaborate with districts to offer high-quality services to students through shared services. The shared services model allows districts to defray costs of offering exceptional services to make the most of our local tax dollars.

Our dedicated employees are part of the teams serving students in Clark-Shawnee, Greenon, Northeastern, Northwestern, Southeastern, Springfield, and Tecumseh schools. We provide occupational, speech, and physical therapists, school psychologists, preschool programs, special education programs, professional development, instructional technology training, and more throughout the county.

The Clark County ESC is committed to partnership with our local schools. Our team is ready to help educators meet challenges big and small and to work together to meet the needs of Clark County kids.

Our mission every day is to be the educational partner our districts can turn to, confident that they are providing the best they can for their students when they are working with the Clark County ESC. Our Services

The Clark County Educational Service Center (ESC) provides vital support services to approximately 26,000 students and their educators across the county. While the ESC office and training center is located in Springfield, ESC educational specialists and related service professionals work directly within the county's seven school districts, a career technical center, a STEM school, a Montessori school, and numerous private and parochial schools.

The Clark County ESC offers a wide range of services to meet the diverse needs of its schools and communities. These include the development and supervision of special education programs, access to school psychologists and related service providers, as well as mental and behavioral health therapists. Additionally, curriculum specialists support district leadership and teachers through year-round professional development opportunities.

The Clark Education Center provides specialized classrooms tailored to students with varying degrees of autism and those who face challenges succeeding in traditional school environments due to behavioral issues. Our preschool teachers, located throughout multiple districts, meet the early learning needs of children to ensure a strong foundation for future success.

The Instructional Services department enhances education through curriculum development, supervision, access to a media library, and robust professional development. Each year, over 3,000 educators participate in in-service training programs designed to foster professional growth. The department also offers direct support to building administrators and staff in implementing effective school improvement initiatives.

Moreover, the Clark County ESC serves as a centralized resource for teacher and administrative applicant screening for local school districts, ensuring quality hiring processes and staff placements.
